Background
There is a school sponsored newspaper at Hazelwood East Highschool that was written and edited by students. The principal recieved a copy of the newspaper one day and he found two inappropritate articles and he ordered them to be taken out, so 3 former students brought the case to the court.

Did the principals order to delete the articles violate there freedom of speech?

The descision of the court was this did not violate this 1st Amendment because the schools must be able to set high standars for students speech. School newspapers do not have the same protection as the rest of the press because school is for education not for inappropritate speech.
